Peter Joseph Borovatz
Peter Joseph Borovatz, 68, of R.D. 1, Worthington, Pa., died Sunday, December
20, 1987, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital (East Franklin Township),
Kittanning, Pa.
He was born September 4, 1919 in Brownsville, Pa., to the late Michael F. and
Anna C. (Pavlinac) Borovatz.
He was a 1937 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
He was retired owner/operator of the Ashland Wholesale Gas and Fuel Oil business
in R.D. 1, Worthington. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Borovatz was a
member of the Ford City Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ford City, Pa.
Surviving are his wife, Louise (Kline) Borovatz, whom he married Aug. 25, 1948;
a son Edward J. of Richmond, Va.; two brothers, John F. Borovatz of R.D. 1,
Worthington and Albert William Borovatz of Kittanning; four sisters, Anna C.
Gang of Canton, Ohio, Mary Irene Lewis of Indianapolis, Ind., Margaret Frances
Borovatz of R.D. 1, Worthington and Catherine Elizabeth Keller of Dillsburg,
Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Friends of Peter J. Borovatz, 68, of Worthington R.D. 1, who died Sunday, Dec.
20, 1987, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, Worthington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville, Pa., with the
Rev. John Palko officiating.
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
