Bernice Elizabeth Claypoole Williams

Bernice Elizabeth Claypoole Williams, 63, of Box 106, Grant Street, East Butler,
and 1900 S. Bay St., Eustis Fla., died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 1982, at
the Waterman Memorial Hospital, Eustis.

Born at Craigsville, February 16, 1919, she was the daughtrer of the late Wade
S. and Vera (Gaiser) Claypoole.

She was a 1937 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church, Worthington,
and the Ladies Auxiliary of the East Butler volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are her husband, George A. Williams, whom she married March 27, 1939;
a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Smith of East Butler; three sons, James W.
Williams of Pensacola, Fla., Ronald E. of Evans City Road, and George A. Jr. of
Ebensburg; seven grandchildren; a brother, Donald Claypoole of Altoona; five
sisters, Mrs Richard (Freda) Peechatka of Tannersville, Pa., Mrs. Carl (Jean)
Bowser, Mrs. William (Shirley) Higginson and Dorothy Claypoole, all of
Worthington, and Mrs. Paul (Doris) Wagner of Sharon; and a number of nieces and
nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son.

Friends of Mrs. Bernice E. Williams, Box 106, Grant Street, East Butler and 1900
S. Bay St., Eustis Fla., who died Thursday, April 8, 1982, will be received at
the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,
and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 10:30
a.m. Monday from the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Curry, pastor of St.
Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. 

Burial will be in Franklin Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
