Albert Hepler Shearer JR

Albert Hepler Shearer JR., 76 of Hadley Road, Hadley, died Friday, March 3,
1995, at Greenville Hospital. 

Born May 4, 1918, in Butler, he was the son of Albert H. and Bessie A.
(Ruffaner) Shearer. 

He married the former Beatrice Knappenberger on Oct. 29, 1938. She survives.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

He was retired from Wise Machine Co., Butler.

He served in the Navy during World War II. He belonged to Perry Baptist Church,
Hadley, and the National Rifle Association.

Along with his wife, he is survived by six sons, Albert H. Shearer of Butler,
Gary J. Shearer of South Hamilton, MA., Arnold V. Shearer of Mesic, MI., Ray L.
Shearer of Clarks Mills, PA., Harland L. Shearer of West Alexander, PA., and
Alan R. Shearer of Elderton; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Adele) Barnhart of
Chicora, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Cosgrove of Hadley, and Mrs. Carl (Kay) Earley of
Shelocta, PA.; three brothers, John W. Shearer of Sebastian, FL., Richard
Shearer of Washington, PA., and Robert Shearer of Worthington; four sisters,
Mrs. John (Annabel) Lash, Mrs. Ethel Nichol and Mrs. Hugh (Eyvette) Fair, all of
Worthington, and Mrs. Melda Bricker of Cabot; 20 grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Vernon and Alton and one
sister, Doris Lash.

Friends of Albert H. Shearer Jr, who died Friday, March 3, 1995, will be
received at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Monday. Funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Les Wells of Perry Baptist
Church, Hadley, officiating. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
