Greer Clair Ruffaner

Greer Clair Ruffaner, 66, of Worthington, died at 6:45 a.m. yesterday, April 5,
1984, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.

Born April 12, 1917, in Worthington, he was the son of John Clair and Bessel M.
(Edwards) Ruffaner.

He was a 1936 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Ruffaner was a retired employee of Mesta Machine Co, West Homestead, and was
an active out-doorsman.

He was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Kittanning R.D. 4; United Steel
Workers of America Local 7174, Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Club, Buffalo Valley
Beagle Club, Burnt Ridge bow and Fun Club, and the Kittanning Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Leona (Simmers) Ruffaner, a son, David C. Ruffaner of
Worthington; a daughter, Mrs William (Sue) Arner of Freeport; two sisters, Mrs.
Dale (Berneta) Forester and Mrs. James (Virginia) Cook, both of Worthington; and
three grandchildren.

Friends of Greer Clair Ruffaner of Worthington, who died Thursday, April 5,
1984, will be received at the James A. Flick funeral Home, Worthington, from 7
to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will
be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Sharon Schwab,
pastor of Craigsville United Methodist Church, officiating. 

Burial will be in Worthington United Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the
American Diabetes Association.
