Rocco Joseph Bono

Rocco Joseph Bono, 95, of Kittanning, Pa., formerly of Buffalo Valley, Pa. (West
Franklin Township), died Tuesday, October 15, 2013, in Armstrong County Memorial
Hospital, East Franklin Township, Kittanning, Pa.
 
Born April 1, 1918, he was a son of the late James and Mary F. (Trott) Bono.
 
He was retired from U.S. Steel Corp and a member of St. John Roman Catholic
Church in Coylesville, Pa.
 
He was a life member of Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club, Worthington, Pa., and the
Kittanning Eagles.
 
He was a 1936 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
 
He played baseball and loved bowling and playing horseshoes.
 
He is survived by three sons; James Rocco (Shirley W.) Bono, of Butler, Pa.,
Edward Ralph (Diane) Bono, of Indiana, Pa., and Herman Joseph (Margaret Lee
"Peggy") Bono, of Gibsonia, Pa.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Frances Ann (Andy) Abranovich of Kittanning
and Delores Marie Bono of Worthington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Twila Mae
(Perchelli)Bono, in 2003; five brothers, Theodore J. Bono, Tony Bono, Frank
Joseph Bono, Harry Charles Bon and Herman J. Bono; four sisters, Elizabeth
Robinson, Theresa Patsy, Genevieve Lytle and Angeline Cecelia Judice.
 
Rocco was a resident of Rivercliff Terrace for 16 years. The care he received
was excellent and very comforting to his family.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at St.
John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.
 
Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.
