Helen Dorothy Hawley Geyer

Helen Dorothy Hawley Geyer, 95, of Cheswick, Pa., passed away Friday, October
11, 2013, at The Willows Presbyterian Senior Care Facility, Oakmont, Pa. 

She was born on November 10, 1917 in Worthington, Pa., to the late James M. and
Mary F. (Green) Hawley. 

Helen attended Wilson (one room) School, Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa., and graduated from Duffs Business School in Pittsburgh, Pa. 

In her early years, she had worked at the Schenley Distillery (Gilpin Township,
Armstrong Co.) Schenley, Pa. 

Helen was a homemaker. She also had been a Cub Scout Den Mother and was an
active volunteer at St. Margaret's Hospital, Aspinwall, Pa. for many years. 

She was a member of Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, Fox Chapel, Pa. 

Helen is survived by three sons, George S. (Carol) Geyer of Wyoming, Pa.,
Richard H. (Beverly) Geyer of West Sunbury, Pa., and Stanley J. (Mariann) Geyer
of Pittsburgh; and one daughter, Regina F. (John) McCollum of Oakmont, Pa. She
is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

She is the last of her generation and was preceded in death by her husband,
George S, Geyer, Sr. who passed in 1992; her parents and eleven brothers and
sisters. Francis, Ann, Gladys, Thomas, Stanley, John, Mary, Simon, George and
Jean and one child at birth. 

Friends are welcome for visitation on Sunday, October 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., where
Services will commence on Monday, October 14, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home
with Burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens,
Dorseyville, Pa.
