Samuel David Morrison

Samuel David Morrison, 72, of Slippery Rock R.D. 3, died Saturday, March 9,
1991, at United Community Hospital in Grove City.

Born March 16, 1918, in Timblin, Jefferson County, he was the son of Ralph C.
and Gwennie (Davis) Morrison.

He was a 1935 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

Mr. Morrison retired in 1985 as general superintendent for the Allegheny Mineral
Corp. of Snyder Associates.

Surviving are four sons, S. Darl Morrison of Worthington, David L. Morrison of
Karns City R.D. 2, Ralph E. Morrison of Bellwood and Larry E. Morrison of
Parker; a daughter, Vickie Morrison at home; a brother, Reid Morrison of
Worthington, a sister, Margaret Thompson of Kittanning; eight grandchildren; and
nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ada Marie (Bowser) Morrison, who
died in 1971; his second wife, Mary Lou (Bowser) Morrison, who died in 1990; and
a brother, Ralph L. Morrison.

Friends of Samuel David Morrison of Slippery Rock R.D. 3, who died Saturday,
March 9, 1991, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 ;.m. Monday at the F.
Duane Snyder Funeral Home in Worthington. Funeral services will be held from the
funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Alan Mailhle, retired pastor,
officiating. 

Interment in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa.

The family requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association
or the Worthington Civic Center.
