Roy Stanley Crissman


Roy Stanley Crissman, 55, of Worthington, died at 1:15 a.m. today, April 11,
1972, in the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning. 

He was born September. 23, 1916, he was the son of Cassius Finley and Clara
(Toy) Crissman. He was raised by Wilbur and Elizabeth C. Lewis.

He was a 1935 graduate of Worthingon-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II from 6/1/1945 to
12/28/1945.

He was a member of the Worthington United Presbyterian Church, Worthington
West-Franklin Volunteer Fire Dept. and an employee of Linde Air Corp. 

Surviving are his wife, Mildred (Rumbaugh); his father, Cassius F. of Export;
six daughters, Alverda ( Glen) Sterling of Huron, Ohio, Geraldine (Horner) Jack
of Evans City; Janet (Arthur) Pyle of Worthington; Arlene (Charles) Brand of
Struthers, Ohio; Linda and Robin at home; one brother, Carl of Struthers, Ohio;
one sister, Isabel (Arthur) Ackerson of Marion Center; nine grandchildren and a
number of step-brothers and step-sisters. 

He was predeceased by his father.

Friends of Roy S. Crissman, who died April 11, 1972, will be received at the
James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington, from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and 2 to 4, 7
to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home
with the Rev. Gordon Kunde, pastor of the Worthington United Presbyterian
Church, officiating. 

Burial will be in the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
