Genevieve Edna Hawk Rupert
Genevieve Edna Hawk Rupert, age 91, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the
Hadlow Center for Caring.
She was born September 14, 1917 in Worthington, PA to the late Elmer and Edna M.
(Roudybush) Hawk.
She was a 1935 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.
In 1940 she married her late husband and over their 66 years of marriage resided
in Brackenridge, Pa; Huntsville, AL; and Jacksonville, FL.
Jennie volunteered over 1000 hours in the Red Cross and was a very active member
of the Methodist Church. She also was a very dedicated homemaker who especially
enjoyed baking.
Surviving her are a son, Ken (Diana) of Mansfield, Ohio; a daughter, Janice
(Gary) Bubb of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.
Jennie was predeceased by her husband Ken; and sisters Margaret Reed and Isabel
Easley.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 24, 2008 in the
Lakewood United Methodist Church Chapel, 6133 San Jose Boulevard
Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fl.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The United Methodist Children's Home
and sent to Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Boulevard,
Jacksonville, FL 32217.
