James Everett Drake

James Everett Drake, 41, of Worthington, died at 8 p.m. yesterday, April 20,
1959, in Oakland Veteran Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born August 22, 1917 in Worthington, a son of Frank and Edna (Kison)
Drake.

He was a 1935 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa. 

He was the first draftee from Armstrong Conty in World War II, and served in the
European Theater for 29 months.

At the time of his death, he was manager of the Worthington offices of
Pennsylvania Thresherman and Farmers Insurance Company.

He was a member of Kittanning Lodge 224 F and AM; Coudersport Consistory, and
Worthington Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Jean (Cornman) Drake; two children, Rhonda
Drake and Jeffrey Drake, both at home; also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Drake, Worthington; two brothers, John F. Drake, Miami, Fla.; Harvey A. Drake,
Worthington; and a sister, Mrs. Warren (Carolyn) Coldren, Harrisburg.

Friends of James E. Drake, Worthington, who died Monday, April 20, 1959, will be
received at the Walker funeral Home in Worthington, where private services will
be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. James E. Slingluff, pastor of
Worthington Lutheran Church, officiating. 

Burial will be in Worthington Lutheran Church Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
