Jessie Amanda Cessna Kerr

Jessie Amanda Cessna Kerr, 84, of 2515 E. Anthony Circle, Hubbard, Ohio, died of
kidney failure at 12:15 p.m. Friday, December 3, 1982 in St. Elizabeth Hospital
Medical Center, where she had been a patient for three months.

Born on January 22, 1918, in Worthington, Pa., a daughter of George Frank Cessna
and Ruth W. (Shields) Cessna.

Jessie was a 1935 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School,
Worthington, Pa.

"Miss Jessie A. Cessna and Thomas Kerr, both of Worthington, were united in
marriage at the Baptist parsonage in Distant, Pa., by the Rev. Alfred F. Colwell
at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 1935. The couple was attended by Miss Adda M.
Bowser and Samuel D. Morrison both of Worthington."

Jessie and her husband moved to the area some 40 years ago. She worked for the
Shenango Valley Provision Co. for 15 years, retiring in 1974.

Her husband, Thomas Kerr, passed away in 1965.

She leaves two sons; Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev., and David, with whom she made
her home; two sisters, Naomi Mae Claypool and Bertha M. (Ivan) Claypoole both of
Worthington.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Frank Cessna,
Jr., and William C. Cessna Sr.; three sisters, Goldie Laney, Minerva Meckley and
Ruth W. Claypool.

Friends of Jessie Amanda Kerr, 84, who died Friday, Dec. 3, 1982, will be held
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kelley and Sons Funeral Home.
