Margaret Elizabeth Barnett Kay-Rathsam,
Margaret Elizabeth Barnett Kay-Rathsam, 94, of the Baltimore, MD area, passed
away, November 30, 2011.
She was born, June 18, 1917 in Chicora Pa. She was the daughter of the Rev.
Charles Waldo and Rosa Mae (Swartz) Barnett former pastor of the Worthington
Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Margaret graduated from Worthington West Franklin High School in 1935.
She was a devoted wife of the late Nicholas Kay and Verne Rathsam; loving mother
of Nikki Conners and Chuck Kay and his wife Margie; "Grandma Kay" to Anne
Gibbons, Edward, William, Michael and Laura Kay. Also survived by 4
great-granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Charles Waldo
Barnett.
Services and Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed in Margaret
Barnett's memory to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington, P.O. Box 10,
Worthington, PA 16262.
