Paul William Swigart

Paul William Swigart, 85, of Worthington RD2, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at
Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township.

He was born May 3, 1916 in Craigsville, Pa., to Milton and Laura B. (Wright)
Swigart.

He attended Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.

Mr. Swigart was retired from Moonlight Mushroom Farm.

He attended the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Slate Lick.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Norma (Davis) Swigart, whom he married
June 27, 1935; three sons, Harold E. Swigart of Clarion and Harvey B. Swigart
and Edward P. Swigart, both of Worthington; two daughters, Mrs. John (Shirley
L.) Rupp and Mrs. Michael (Marcia L.) Trulick, both of Worthington; 12
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two
sisters, Emma May Grafton and
Mrs. Earl (D. Loretta) Oliver, both of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Iradell Simpson; one
grandson, James Simpson; and one granddaughter, Judy Swigart; one brother,
Abraham M. Swigart; and two sisters, Lilly B. Morrow and Sarah I. Higgins.

Friends of Paul W. Swigart, 85, of Worthington RD2, who died March 26, 2002,
will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F. Duane Snyder
Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington, where funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Reed DePace, pastor of the Reformed Presbyterian
Church of Slate Lick, officiating, with James Moore assisting. 

Interment will be in Worthington United Presbyterian Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.


The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Reformed Presbyterian
Church of Slate Lick.
