Doris Alberta Shearer Cowan Lash, 70, of Winter Park, FL., died Sunday,
September 14, 1986, in South Florida Hospital, Orlando, FL.
She was born April 21, 1916, in Butler, to Albert and Bessie (Ruffaner)
Shearer.
She was a member of the second graduating class of Worthington High School in
1934.
She was a member of the Golden Rod Baptist Church, Winter Park, FL.
She is survived by her second husband, Reynolds John Lash; two daughters, Mrs.
Scott (Joyce) Dedi of Boca Raton, FL, and Mrs. Ray (Connie) Bodensteiner of
Garland, TX.; two sons, Cary Cowan of St. Augustine, FL, and James Cowan of San
Diego, CA.; five stepsons, Reynolds Lash JR., of Bowling Green, KY., Gerry Lash
of Clarence, NY., Gary Lash of Ford City RD1, Lowell Lash of Adrian and Richard
Lash of Worthington; a stepdaughter, Hope Lash of Boca Raton, FL; four sisters,
Annabel Bouch of Adrian, Mrs Omer (Ethel) Nichol of Worthington, Melda Bricker
of Cabot, and Mrs. Hugh (Eyvette) Fair of Worthington; four brothers, John of
Sebastian, FL., Albert of Hadley, Richard of Washington, PA., and Robert of
Worthington.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Porter Cowan, in 1971.
Friends of Doris A. Lash, 70, of Winter Park, FL., who died Sunday, Sept. 14,
1986, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday in the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, Worthington.
