Evelyn Pearl Benton Rossiter

Evelyn Pearl Benton Rossiter, 57, of Petrolia, died at 10:35 p.m. Monday, April
9, 1973, in Butler County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Worthington, January 31, 1916, she was the daughter of Arthur D. and
Margaret Pearl (McMillen) Benton.

She was a 1934 graduate of Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington,
Pa.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Worthington, and the Ladies Auxiliary
of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur Rossiter, whom she married Feb. 27, 1937 in
Worthington; two sons, William A. Rossiter of Tidioute and Robert H. of Bruin;
three grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Pearl Benton of Worthington; two
brothers, Arthur Clair "Pete" Benton of Worthington and Oscar Roy "Bill" Benton
of Kittanning; and a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Greta C.) Bonnett of Tarentum.

A brother, Harry W. Gaiser, preceded her in death.

Friends of Mrs. Evelyn Pearl Rossiter, of Petrolia, who died Monday, April 9,
1973, will be received at the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home, Petrolia from 7 to
9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will
be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home with the Rev. George Kear, the
pastor of the Martinsburg United Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia, Pa.
