Russell Robert Ruth
Russell Robert Ruth, 61, of Detroit, Mich., an Armstrong County native, died at
2 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 1977, of an apparent heart attack.
He was born January 17, 1916, in Craigsville, Pa., to Robert and Florence
(Barnhart) Ruth.
In 1933, he graduated with the first graduation class from Worthington-West
Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa. He attended the University of Pittsburgh,
Pittsburgh, Pa., and Akron University, Ohio.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine (Valesk) Ruth; daughter, Roberta of Robindale,
Mich.; son, Richard Ruth of Detroit, Mich; mother, Florence Ruth of Craigsville;
brothers, Glenn Adley Ruth of Kittanning, Pa., and Donald Richard Ruth of RD 2,
Butler, Pa.; sister, Helen E. Ruth Rose of New Castle, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1950. |
