Lula Maude Bowser Pfeil Hancock

Lula Bowser Bowser Pfeil Hancock, 89, of Ford City, died Thursday, February 5,
2004, in Golden Heritage Personal Care Home, Ford City.

Born March 13, 1914, in Worthington, PA, she was the daughter of Frank J. and
LuLu Maude (Bruner) Bowser 

She lived the Ford City area all her life.

She was a member of the first graduating class of Worthington High School.

Mrs. Hancock was a member of Appleby Manor Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ford
City, and the church women's group.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and quilting.

Survivors include two sons, Matthias F. (Joanne) Pfeil of Ford City and Henry J.
Pfeil of Germantown, Md.; and a brother, Calvin Bowser of Worthington.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Michelle Miller and Douglas Pfeil; and
three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Miller, Steven Miller and Douglas Pfeil Jr.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Matthias J. Pfeil; a
great-granddaughter, Lacey Marie; her parents, Frank J. and Maud Brunner Bowser;
two brothers, Roy K. and Harry Bowser; and two sisters, Zelma Claypoole and
Margaret Detrow.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the FAYKOSH
FUNERAL HOME, A Forethought Member, 701 Fourth Ave., Ford City, and from 10 a.m.
Saturday until time of an 11 a.m. service in Appleby Manor Memorial Presbyterian
Church. Her pastor, the Rev. Carletta Curley, will officiate. 

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pa. 

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Appleby Manor Memorial
Presbyterian Church.
