Mary L Hooks Adams-Beatty
Mary L. (Hooks) Adams-Beatty, 95, of Kittanning, Pa., died Friday, May 2, 2003
at the Armstrong County Health Center, Kittanning, Pa.
She was born July 9, 1907 in Armstrong County to Jon Y. and Elizabeth (Richey)
Hooks.
Mrs. Beatty was a primary education teacher for the Worthington Schools,
Worthington, Pa.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kittanning and a member
of the Auxiliary of the Gideon's.
Survivors include one step-son, James Beatty of Sunnyvale, Calif.; several
step-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Adams; her
second husband, Ouray Beatty, who died Sept. 1, 1982; six brothers, Ralph,
Edgar, Chauncey, Mac, Theodore and Raymond Hooks; and three sisters, Bessie
Hooks, Ava (Hooks) Williams, and Annabel (Hooks) McIlwain.
BEATTY- Friends of Mary L. (Hooks) Adams-Beatty, 95, of Kittanning, who died May
2, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bauer Funeral Home,
515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Wednesday with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Allyn Ricketts, officiating.
Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township,
Worthington, Pa.
