Bertha Marie Claypoole
Bertha Marie Claypoole, 84, of Worthington RD1, died Sunday, December 1 1985, at
the Sugar Creek Rest Home, Worthington RD 2.
The daughter of George and Ruth (Shields) Cessna, she was born July 17, 1901, in
Banks Township in Indiana County.
Mrs Claypoole was a charter member of the Worthington Baptist Church. She was a
retired school teacher who had taught in the Worthington area for 34 years.
Suriving are her husband Ivan, their golden anniversary was Nov. 23; and one
sister, Mrs Naomi Claypoole of Worthington RD1.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and George Cessna and four
sisters, Goldie Laney, Menerva McKley, Ruth Claypoole and Jessie Kerr.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7 -9 p.m. Tuesday at the Duane F Snyder
Funeral Home, Worthington, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the
Rev. Walter Pifer officiating.
Interment will follow at the Lawn Haven Memorial Park. Worthington, Pa.
