Richard Dale Kepple
Richard Dale "Dick" Kepple, of North Apollo, 83, passed away November 17, 2006.
He wa born August 2, 1923, the son of Lawton Heddinger and
Pauline Marguerite (Walcott) Kepple Moylan.
He was a 1950 graduate of Slippery Rock State Teacher's College, Slippery Rock,
PA.
Mr. Kepple was at Worthington West-Franklin High School in the 1950-1951 school
year before being called up to active duty. According to a first-hand account,
he was a very enthusiastic coach of the junior varsity basketball team.
His military service included both WW II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Mohney Kepple, daughter, Kimberly A.
(Kepple) Bowen; granddaughters, Brandi L. Becker, of Tarentum, and Ginni M.
(Mark) McGregor, of Brackenridge; a grandson, Shawn R. Becker,
great-grandchildren, Kierstin (Howells) and Scott Cunningham, Kylie Locchetta,
Shawn Howells and Lanie Black; and great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Carter
Cunningham, nephew, Robert Morrow, of California; and a son-in-law, Harold Butch
Becker, of Natrona Heights.
Buried at Vandergrift Cemetery, Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, PA.
