Genella "Viola" (Claypoole) Fails
 
Genella "Viola" (Claypoole) Fails, 81, of RR 1, Worthington, Pa., died Saturday
morning, May 25, 1985, in St Francis hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
 
She was born February 15, 1904, in West Franklin Township (RR. Worthington), the
daughter of (William) Boyd and Ella (Helsel) Claypoole.
 
She was a charter member of the Worthington Baptist Church and a member of the
church's Philethea Sunday School class.
 
She had been employed for 21 years in the cafeteria as a baker for
Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.
 
Survivors include her husband, Walker D. Fails; one son, Glenn Walker Fails of
Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Avanell Irene) Bowser and Mrs.
Lanny (Jean Vivian) Turney, both of RR 1., Worthington, Pa.; one brother, Alton
Boyd Claypoole of RR 4, Kittanning, Pa.; five grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
 
Friends of Genella "Viola" (Claypoole) Fails, 81, of RR1, Worthington, who died
Saturday morning, May 25, 1985, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Sunday at the James A. Flick Funeral Home, Worthington, Pa. There will be a
private funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with
the Rev. Walter Pifer, her pastor, officiating.
 
Burial will follow in the Lawn Haven Mausoleum at Lawn Haven Burial Estates,
East Franklin Township, Worthington, Pa.
