Mary Elizabeth Buhite
Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Buhite died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Armstrong
County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on, February 27, 1919, in Bryndale, a daughter of the late Harry
and Ruth (Himes) Shuttleworth. Beth married Walter Buhite in Brookville and
later moved to Kittanning.
Beth was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in Kittanning for
59 years, belonging to the Conquer Class and the Guild and being a Sunday school
teacher.
She is the mother of Marybeth Dean and her husband, T. Lowell, of Dayton, Pa.,
and Timothy Buhite and his wife, Jean, of Kittanning. She also leaves six
grandchildren, Traci Joseph and her husband, Robert, Lowell J. Dean and his
wife, Jody, Jeremy Buhite and his wife, Michelle, Christine Luchsinger, Jackie
Buhite and Michael Buhite and great-grandchildren, Morgan and Jenna Joseph, Ryan
and Mackenzie Dean, Jocelyn and Camden Buhite, Makiya Buhite, Mason Buhite and
Michael and Rhian Luchsinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E.
Buhite, who died Feb. 26, 2003; her brother, John Shuttleworth; her sister,
Shirley Magas, in May of 2007; and a great-grandchild.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m. Friday at BAUER FUNERAL HOME,
515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday with the Rev. Dennis Howard officiating.
Interment will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Township,
Worthington, Pa.
