Grace S Sprout
Grace S. Sutherin Sprout, 80, of 222 Cedar Drive, Kittanning, Pa., died at her
home Thursday, September 7, 1989.
She was born May 19, 1909, in Columbiana, Ohio, to William A. and Elizabeth
"Bess" (Sutherin) Sutherin.
Mrs. Sprout had lived in Kittanning since 1960. She was a first grade and
kindergarten teacher in East Palestine, Ohio and taught kindergarten it the
Worthington-West Franklin schools. She was a member of the First United
Methodist Church of Kittanning, the Easter Star, Christian Woman's Club, and
member of the Audubon Society.
Surviving are her husband, James Sprout, whom she married June 22, 1940; one
daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Patricia) Weidemuller of Bellevue; one brother, Richard
Sutherin of East Palestine, Ohio; two grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William D. Sutherin; and one sister,
Mrs. Ellen Cable.
Friends of Grace C. Sprout, 80, of 222 Cedar Drive, Kittanning, who died
Thursday, Sept 7, 1989, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday,
at the Bauer Funeral Home, Kittanning, Pa. Friends will also be received from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, 644 E. Main St.,
East Palestine, Ohio. Funeral services will be held there at 11 a.m. Monday,
with the Rev. Larry Homitsky, officiating, assisted by Rev. James Powell, pastor
of Centenary Methodist Church of East Palestine.
Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine, Ohio.
