Howard Richard Bowser
 
Howard Richard "Bud" Bowser, 77, of Worthington, Pa., died Tuesday, February 12,
1991, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Kittanning Township,
Kittanning, Pa.
 
Born March 5, 1913, in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Edward A. and
Hattie (McDermott) Bowser.
 
He had retired from U.S. Steel in Youngstown, Ohio, and had also worked as a
custodian for the Armstrong School District.
 
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in both Europe and the Pacific during
World War II. Mr. Bowser was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Worthington, a life-time member of VFW Post 863 in Kittanning, and a charter
member of American Legion Post 828 in Worthington.
 
Surviving are a son, Stephen Richard Bowser of R. D. 1, Cowansville, Pa., a
step-son Chaz Larry Beal of Atlanta, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Francis (Nancy
Jane) Giesler of Marwood, Pa., a brother, Edward A. Bowser, Jr., of Buffalo, New
York; four sisters, Viola (Bowser) Bowser, Roberta B. Good and Mabel Y. Adams,
all of Worthington, and Delores I. Ambrose of R.D. 1, Adrian, Pa.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen (Montgomery) Bowser; one brother,
Raymond Bowser; four sisters, Ada Marie Morrison, Vivian Blose, Mary Lou
Morrison, and Lovella Bowser.
 
Friends of Howard Richard "Bud" Bowser of Worthington, Pa., who died Tuesday,
Feb. 12, 1991, will be received at the F. Duane Snyder funeral Home,
Worthington, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be held from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
Worthington at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 1991, with the Rev. Donald Worth,
pastor, officiating.
 
Burial will follow at Worthington Lutheran Cemetery, Worthington, Pa.
 
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Church or
the Worthington Civic Center, Worthington, Pa.
