Herbert C Widdowson

Herbert C. Widdowson, 62, of 1274 N. Neigley Ave., Pittsburgh, Pa., a former
Kittanning, Pa. resident, died of an apparent heart attack at 8 p.m. Monday,
July 28, 1969, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. 

He was born April 17, 1907, in Cherry Tree, Pa., a son of Luther and Louisa Rose
(Kriner) Widdowson.

He was a faculty member for a short time during the school year of 1933 at
Worthington-West Franklin High School, Worthington, Pa.


The former Kittanning resident resided in Pittsburgh for 25 years. He was
district operating manager of Firestone Tire and Rubber Co., Pittsburgh, for 34
years. 

He was a member of the American Legion, Cumberland, a World War II Navy veteran
and a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Pittsburgh. 

Survivors include his widow, Jane (Norman) Widdowson; one son, John L.
Widdowson, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Larry W. (Anne W.) Fellers, Plumboro, Pa;
three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Grace E.) Himes, Kittanning, Mrs. Henry (L. Rose)
Stumpf, Norristown, Pa. and Miss Ruth L. Widdowson, Pittsburgh, and one
grandson. 

The family of Herbert C. Widdowson of Pittsburgh, formerly of Kit- tsnning, who
died July 28, 1969, will receive friends at Calvary Church, 315 Shady Ave.,
Pittsburgh, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 io 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Service will be held at the church at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 1969 with the
Rev. F. Neil Morgan officiating. 

Interment service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Kittanning Cemetery, Kittanning,
Pa. 

In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions to (hi; Heart Fund.
