Mona R. (Jackson) McCullough, 73, of RR 5, Kittanning, Pa., died at 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday, June 15, 1983, at her home.
 
She was born January 22, 1910, in Kittanning, the daughter of Fred and Mary
(Shelton) Jackson.
 
She lived her entire life in the Kittanning-Ford City, Pa., area, and was an
Industrial Nurse at PPG and a school nurse for 20 years in different schools
before and after they were called the Armstrong School District.
 
She was a member of the National Federation of Business and Professional Woman's
Clubs, the Armstrong County Nurses Association, the Pennsylvania State Education
Association, the Armstrong County Branch of Retired Teachers of the PSEA,
Kittanning Chapter No. 277 Order of the Easter Star, Kit-han-ne Court No. 126
Order of the Amaranth, Immanuel Shrine No. 19, the Ladies Auxiliary Bethany
Commandery No. 83, the Knights Templar of Pennsylvania, the Kittanning Area
Woman's Club and Appleby Manor Presbyterian Church.
 
She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. McCullough, whom she married on Sept
5, 1940; one son, Richard A. McCullough of RR 5, Kittanning; three daughters,
Mrs. Janice Alcorn of Greenbelt, Md., Mrs. Fred (Karen) Sweitzer of Ford City
and Mrs. William (Jacquelyn) Holsopple of Westminister, Colo.; two brothers,
Rush F. Jackson and Robert H. Jackson, both of Ford City; three sisters, Mrs.
James (Rosina) Anderson, Mrs. Edward (Imogene) Fester and Mrs. Paul (Betty)
Swan, all of Ford City; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd S. Jackson.
 
Friends of Mona R. McCullough, 73, of RR 5, Kittanning, who died Wednesday, June
15, 1983, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Friday at the Bauer Funeral Home, Kittanning, where funeral services will
be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Andrew C. Byers, pastor of the Grace
Presbyterian Church, officiating.
 
Services by the Order of the Amaranth will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Eastern
Star services at 7:15 p.m. Thursday and Immanuel Shrine services at 8 p.m.
Friday.
 
Burial will follow Saturday's services in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East
Franklin Township, Worthington, Pa.
 
Arrangements are by Bauer Funeral Home, Kittanning, Pa.
