Anna E Malcolm

Anna Elizabeth Hotham Malcolm, 87, of Marwood Road in Cabot, Jefferson Township,
formerly of Franklin Street in Freeport, died at 6:59 p.m., December 25, 2000,
in her home.

She was born November 6, 1913, in Plumcreek Township, and live in Freeport for
most of her life.

A graduate of Kittanning High School, she attended Citizens Hospital School of
Nursing, New Kensington, prior to graduating from Indiana State Teacher's
College, Indiana, Pa., with a batchelor degree in education.  She received her
master's equivalency from Indiana Unversity of Pennsylvania.

In 1977 she retired after being a school nurse at Knoch High School, Saxonburg,
for 20 years.

Mrs. Malcolm was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Massie
Harbison Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star, all in
Freeport.

Survivors include a son, Lynn M. Malcolm of Ackron, Ohio; three grandchildren; a
great-grandson; and a sister, Marjorie Weaver of Shelocta.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl G. Malcolm in 1995; her parents,
John Clark and Chelsie Olive (Sowers) Hotham; and a sister, Helen Rearick.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. Thursday at the DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY
FUNERAL HOME, 324 Fourth Street, Freeport, where funeral services will be at
11:00 a.m. Friday.  Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. James F. Neal.

Private burial wiil be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
