Dean Albert Logan

Dean Albert Logan, 81, of Circleville, died in the arms of his wife, Frances,
August 16, 2006,in Berger Hospital.

He was born July 26, 1925, in Petrolia, Pa, a son of Berton Theophilus and
Estella May (Abernathy) Logan.

He served as a corporal in the United States Army Air Corp in Buurma and India.

After returning from WW II, he received his undergraduate degree from Slippery
Rock State Teachers College and a master's degree from the University of
Pittsburgh.

He was a part of the faculty of Worthington-West Franklin High School for the
1947-1948 school year.

Dean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Circleville and a 32nd
degree Mason.

Dean and his wife moved to Circleville in 1970 when he was general mangager of
Owens-Illinois. He retired in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Frances (Corbett) Logan of 59 yeears; sons Larry
(Sheryl) and Michael (Mary Ellen) both of Circleville; grandchildren, Lindsey
(Ben Beshear) of Cincinnati, Mary Corbett of Gahanna, Adam (Kelly) of
Pickerington, Katie of Circleville, Mary jo Hampp of Lancaster and his
great-granddaughter, Sydney, daughter of Adam and Kelly.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Thomas Burton, Lee
Wayne, and sisters, June E and Margaret.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.at the Wellman Funeral Home.

A memorial service in his honor will be held 2:00p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2006,
at the First Presbyterian Church in Circleville.

Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Circleville, OH., with military graveside
hornors.
