George H Kyle

George H. Kyle, age 51 of the Slippery Rock, RD 4, died at 11:15, May 28, 1965,
at home after suffering a heart attack.

He was born November 16 1913, in North Beaver Township, a son of John Milton and
Elizabeth Martha (McKim) Kyle.

He married Jane Aiken.

Mr. Kyle lived in the Slippery Rock area 12 years.

He was a graduate of New Castle High School and Transylvania College in
Lexington, Ky.

He did graduate work at Westminster College, Carnegie Institute of Technology
and the University of Kentucky.

He was employed as guidance counselor in the Slippery Rock Junior-Senior High
School.

He was part of the faculty of Worthington-West Franklin High School for
1939-1940 and 1940-1941 school years.

He was an Army Veteran of World War II, having served five years.  Thirty three
months were spent in the European  Theater.

Mr. Kyle was a member of Highland United Prebyterian Church of Slippery Rock and
was a former choir director of the church.

Surviving are his wife, Jane, a son, James H. at home, two brothers, William
Arthur and Robert Harold, both of New Castle, three sisters, Jane D. and Belle
M., both of New Castle and Helen McCarthy of Beaver.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John L.

The family will receive friends at the Lige Funeral Home in Slippery Rock from 2
to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Monday 7 to 9 p.m Monday.

Buried will be in Bethel United Presbyterian Cemetery, North Beaver Township,
Pa.
