Hariett G Kovach
Harriett G. Kovach, 77, of Rural Valley, passed away Wednesday, December 10,
2014, surrounded by her family, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
She was born February 22, 1937, to Paul and Violet (Rearick) Colton, in
Meadville.
Harriett was a registered nurse for Armstrong County Memorial Hospital and the
Armstrong School District.
She married William J. Kovach June 28, 1958.
She was a member of Rural Valley Methodist Church and the Armstrong County
Nurse's Association. Harriett's biggest delight of all was her family.
Harriett is survived by her husband, William; daughter, Kathleen (Jeff) Waltman,
of Rural Valley; two granddaughters, Alyssa (fiance, Will Greathouse) Altmeyer
and Lauren Altmeyer, both of Rural Valley; two brothers, Charles Spencer (Donna)
Colton and Berton (Sally) Colton, both of Rural Valley; three sisters, Paula
Keller, of Rural Valley, Beth (Francis) Duchon, of Creekside, and Marjorie
(Beryl) Little, of Baden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Timothy Colton; and sister,
P. Joanne Shaffer.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at the Rural
Valley Methodist Church, Main St., Rural Valley. Funeral services will be held
immediately following with Rev. Craig Lindahl, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Rural Valley Cemetery.
