Edward L Soloski

Edward L. Soloski, 80, of Kittanning, passed away June 2, 2008 in the Chicora
Medical Center, Chicora following an extended illness.

He was born October 1, 1927 in Kittanning, son of Paul Soloski and Josephine
(Manenski) Soloski. 

Mr. Soloski was a 1945 graduate of Kittanning High School and graduated in 1953
from Indiana State Teachers College (now Indiana University of PA) with a
Bachelors degree in Business Education.

Mr. Solocki served in the U.S. Army occupation force in Frankfort, Germany from
1945 to 1947, as a radio intercept operator. Upon his return from the service he
worked for the H. M Pollock Company. where he had been employed since his
youth.

Following his college graduation he taught at Worthington High School until
joining Arthur Young and Company's Pittsburgh office in 1956. 

He was part of the faculty of Worthington-West Franklin High School for the
1954-1955 and 1955-1956 school years.

He passed the CPA ezam in 1959 and returned to Kittanning to open a public
accounting practice in 1961.While continuing to maintain his private practice,
Mr. Soloski served as corporate controller for Kittanning based Armstrong
Utilities, L. Robert Kimball Consulting Engineers of Ebensburg, Mount Royal
Cemeteries, Inc. of Glenshaw and Reddinger Coal Co. of Distant.

Mr. Soloski was a member of both the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and the
American Institute of CPAs. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge 203, where he
servied as an officer and was a past exalted ruler, Kittanning Country Club and
St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Kittanning.  

Surviving is his beloved wife of 57 years, Carolyn A.(Waugaman) Soloski whom he
married Nov. 10, 1950; two daughters, Susan (Jed) Weisberger of Yardley, and
Melissa K (J. Russell) . Feldkamp of Cincinnati, OH, 3 sons, Edward E. Soloski
of Kittanning, Joseph P.(Cheryl) Soloski of Pittsburgh, Donald M. (Patricia)
Soloski of Pinellas Park, FL, grandson, Jay Weisberger, grandson, Ryan Soloski,
grandson, Stephen Soloski, grandson, Patrick Soloski, granddaughter, Christine
Soloski, granddaughter, Mary Soloski, grandson, James Soloski, granddaughter,
Megan Soloski, granddaughter, Rebecca Feldkamp, granddaughter, Emily Feldkamp,
granddaughter, Alison Gurski, brother, William Soloski of
Beaver, sister, Pauline Patrick of Kittanning. He is also survived by many
cousins, nieces and
nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers- Frank, John and
Paul. 

Friends will be received at the at the Welch Funeral Home, 1032 Fourth Ave. Ford
City, onThursday June 5, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. where a Wake
service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursdayand a prayer service will
be held 10:30 A.M. Friday. A Christian Burial Mass will be held at St. Mary, Our
Lady of Guadalupe Church of Kittanning Friday 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Emil
Payer, officiating. 

Internment will follow at Lawn Haven Burial Estates, East Franklin Twp.,
Worlthington, Pa.
