Bertha Belle Sarver

Bertha Belle (Claypoole) Sarver Wyant, 93, of Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington RD2
died Friday, December 14, 2001 at her residence.

She was born November 23, 1908 in West Franklin Township, (Armstrong County), to
Madison and Sara Anna Mae (Bonner) Claypoole.

Mrs. Wyant was an elementary school teacher. She taught in Beaver County from
1930 to 1933. Then she taught in Armstrong County, mostly in the
Worthington-West Franklin Schools from 1934 until her retirement in 1971.

She was a 1928 graduate of Kittanning High School and a 1930 graduate of
Slippery Rock Normal School.

She was a charter member of Worthington Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, David L. Sarver of West Franklin Township; two
stepdaughters, Mrs. Paul (Wanda) Atkinson of North Buffalo Township and Mrs.
Dean (Betty) Kildoo of Grove City; several stepgrandchildren; and several nieces
and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leroy Sarver; her
second husband, Gilbert Wyant; five brothers, Richard, Allen and Ivan Claypoole
and two in infancy; and two sisters, Lucille Claypoole and Orie Hillberry.

Friends of Bertha Belle (Claypoole) Sarver Wyant, 93, of Sugar Creek Rest,
Worthington RD2, who died Dec. 14, 2001, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Saturday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 424 Bear St., Worthington.
Additional visitation will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Worthington Baptist
Church until the time of funeral services at 3 p.m. with her pastor, the Rev.
Joseph T. Simpson, officiating. 

Interment will take place in the West Glade Run Cemetery, Kittanning, Pa. 

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Worthington
Baptist Church.
