Margaret Roberts
Margaret Roberts, 75, of RR 7, Kittanning, Pa., died Saturday, January 9, 1988
at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, East Franklin Township, Kittanning, Pa.
She was born August 8, 1912 in North Buffalo Township to Lewis Boggs and Sarah
E. "Sadie" (Bowser) Claypool.
She was a member of Center Hill Church of the Brethren, where she had been a
choir member for 60 years. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in
the Worthington-West Franklin Schools.
Surviving are two sons, Calvin Roberts of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Alan Roberts
of Flint, Mich.; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Beverly) Dodd of Applewold, Pa.; one
sister, Hazel Alma Geer of RR 4, Kittanning; seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Herbert Roberts, in 1976; one
brother, William S. Claypool; and three sisters, Irene McClanahan, Flaura
Elizabeth Roberts and Faye Claypool.
Friends of Margaret Roberts, 75, of RR 7, Kittanning, Pa., who died Saturday,
Jan. 9, 1988, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the
Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Kittanning. Additional visitation will be
Wednesday afternoon at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren from 12:30 to the
time of the funeral service at 1:30. The Rev. Charles D. Whipple will
officiate.
Burial will follow in Center Hill Church Cemetery, 2039 Old Route 28 south
(Freeport Road), Kittanning, Pa.
