J Chapman Marshall

J. Chapman Marshall, 83, of Worthington, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at his
residence.

He was born August 5, 1918 in Indiana to Reed J. and Grace C. (Chapman)
Marshall.

Mr. Marshall was a teacher in the Worthington-West Franklin Schools for 15
years. He also was a postal clerk in Worthington and Butler for 15 years.

An Army veteran, he served with the 99th Infantry Division during World War II.

He was a member of the Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Marshall; three daughters, Ann Dehgan of
Home, Jane Jesteadt of Valencia and Phyllis Walker of Las Vegas, Nev.; four
grandsons, Andrew Kinter, Paul Jesteadt, Jonathan Kochan and Adam Walker; and
two granddaughters, Melanie Jesteadt and Rebekah Kochan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one half-brother, Paul Marshall; and
one half-sister, Dorothy Byers.

Friends of J. Chapman Marshall, 83, of Worthington, who died July 27, 2002 will
be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the F. Duane
Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington. Funeral services will be at 11
a.m. Thursday at the Worthington Evangelical Lutheran Church with his pastor,
the Rev. Susan Irons, officiating. 

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Clearfield County, Clearfield, Pa. 

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Orphans of the Storm, RD 8,
Kittanning, PA 16201.
